1. What is the name of your profession (position)? The position is called agronomist. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? My job is to grow vegetables and fruit trees. Also, I develop a schedule for sowing seeds, planting seedlings in greenhouses or open ground, and a plant rotation plan. 3. What education is required to get your position? Higher education is necessary, but I graduated from an agricultural technical school, and I receive higher education on the job - I study at the correspondence department at the university. 4. Describe your working day. The working day begins with a detour. I look through each plant for pests, draw up a work plan for the day, depending on the season - sowing, watering, harvesting, pruning trees and other agricultural work. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? The conditions are very different. It happens that you spend the whole day on the street - and you have to get wet in the rain and burn in the sun. And there are periods when you can safely sit the day in the office, doing the preparation of plans and reports. In this case, you can drink coffee whenever you want, and arrange an unscheduled lunch. 6. What do you like most about your job? I love doing miracles. Before this work, I didn’t even think that a mighty bush could grow from a tiny seed. It's nice to look at a good harvest and know that it was grown with my participation. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? The inability to 100% control the situation. Much depends on the weather conditions, before which a person is powerless. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? The salary is not very good. Land labor, though hard, is low paid. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? People work of different ages and professions - workers, tractor drivers, mechanics, technicians. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? Accuracy, attentiveness, determination, the ability to admit one's mistakes and not repeat them. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). I am still far from different countries, but I periodically have to travel to other cities to exchange experience. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? Of course five! I carry out my duties clearly. 13. Why did you choose this job? By chance. There was a free place and I thought: why not try it? 14. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us?
