The operator in the supermarket is my profession. | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession? My profession is called Operator. However, the name itself is vague, so for better understanding it is better to add "in the supermarket". 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? The essence of my work is to account for the receipts and expenses of the supermarket in a common program for the entire network. Also, my duties include printing out price tags, promotions, I have to monitor the implementation of managers' instructions by merchandisers and sellers. 3. What education is required to get your position? The main requirement when applying for a job is PC knowledge, the rest is taught within a couple of weeks. However, at least a secondary special education will not be superfluous. 4. Describe your working day. The working day begins with the closing of "yesterday's" sales, this must be done no later than eight in the morning. Accordingly, you have to come to work at least twenty minutes before. After that there is a recalculation of prices, if they have changed, shares, if they have been, etc. All this happens automatically, I just need to start the process. Then, up to 20.00, you have to “score” the arrivals of goods, make return documents, print out price tags, swear with sellers who do not properly fulfill their duties, and similar current affairs. The evening is mostly busy recording the numbers and amounts of receipts and expenditures and generating reports. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? Working conditions, I think, are quite comfortable - I spend the whole day in my office at the computer. Breaks are strictly stipulated, no one monitors the performance, so as soon as free time appears, you can drink a cup of tea. 6. What do you like most about your job? What I enjoy the most in my profession is interacting with people. Oddly enough, there are plenty of them. The work schedule is also quite suitable - 3 shifts, 3 days off. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? I do not like the intermediate position between managers and store staff - I have to carry out assignments that are not directly related to my work. However, what would you not do for a good relationship? 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? My salary is average for the small town where I live. Enough for life. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? Our team is friendly, mostly ordinary people without any special claims - so communication with them is easy. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? First of all, attention and memory are important. Also important is the ability to find a common language. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). Unfortunately, my work does not provide special additional opportunities. 12. You have the opportunity to evaluate on a five-point scaleoh work, how would you rate it? For a solid three. 14. What are the opportunities for your career development? There is an opportunity, albeit not a big one, to become a product category manager. 15. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? I think the plan is quite complete. Maybe the question of fines and bonuses would be appropriate. Personally, I have neither one nor the other, only a bare salary. It was assumed that the premiums would return after the end of the crisis, but so far the question remains open. 0
