Occupation is a tram driver. | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? My profession is called a tram driver. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? My duty is to transport passengers along the route. From the outside it seems that my profession is easy - it seems to have checked the batteries, pulled the handle, released the current collector and that's it. You can't get off the rails. In fact, on the route you are in constant tension. After all, you have a huge responsibility for the lives of a large number of people. I have to know a lot of instructions - on shunting, on the order of movement, on the maintenance of the train, on the coupling and towing of cars, and many others. In general, the work is not easy, but interesting. 3. What education is required to get your position? For my work, it is necessary to complete special courses for drivers of electric vehicles, giving the right to drive a tram and pass certification. 4. Describe your working day. My work starts very early - at 4 am I should already be at the depot. Each working day begins with an examination by a narcologist. Then I get a magazine and accept the carriage. I check its serviceability, the availability of the tools I need on the road. By the time of departure from the depot, I leave for the route. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? My working day is spent in the driver's cab. Sometimes, where the rails do not automatically switch, you have to get out of the cab and move them in the right direction with a mount. The cabin is warm in winter and with an open window is nice and fresh in summer. 6. What do you like most about your job? I like to travel and transport people, it is very nice when passengers smile gratefully and say thank you. I especially love the morning hours, when the city is just waking up and the streets are quiet. I like that in my work there is no need to rush anywhere. I drive on a schedule that I always fit into. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? I don't like getting up early the most. Sometimes a little tired of the huge responsibility for the lives of passengers. In general, you get used to it all pretty quickly. I do not like duty night flights. Especially when you have to drive around the outskirts and poorly lit streets at night. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? At present, the salary level is absolutely not satisfying. In addition, they pay it irregularly, with long delays. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? We have a good team, always ready to support in difficult times and come to the rescue, attentive and understanding bosses. Most of the drivers are young people. The team is predominantly female. Very friendly conductors work with me. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? The most important qualities in my work are attentiveness, concentration and a good reaction. It is very important to have goodneck health. After all, if something happens to the driver on the road, passengers may suffer. But these are no longer qualities, but selection criteria. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). My work does not provide any special additional opportunities. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? 4 points. 13. Why did you choose this job? The main criterion was the presence of a residence permit and the provision of a hostel. And then I fell in love with my job and I don’t want to leave here anymore. 14. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? Although I have told here about the various disadvantages of my profession, it is still very cool to do something good for people. After difficult sections of the route, for example, entering a steep mountain, you always feel moral satisfaction and pride that you were able to cope with it. I love my job and try to do it well. 0
