Handmade postcard designer | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? Handmade postcard designer. You can also say - graphic designer. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? I invent, model, decorate greeting cards, invitations, valentines, banquets and more. 3. What kind of education is required to get your position? If a person has a taste, a sense of rhythm and the ability for creative creativity, as well as elementary skills and abilities to work with paper, scissors and glue, then no special education is required. But having an art education, as in my case, is welcome, and for some employers it is a priority. 4. Describe your working day? If there are a lot of orders, then the day is scheduled by the minute, sometimes I don’t have time to eat. There is also such a service as an additional payment for urgency, then you have to work at night .... On ordinary (not holidays for clients) days, I just do my routine, from morning to afternoon, approximately, i.e. I create blanks for paper flowers, collect fresh flowers, leaves for dried flowers, go to stationery and florist shops in search of original designer paper and other necessary little things. Either I'm just looking for inspiration, or I'm collecting ideas in a piggy bank. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? The conditions are quite comfortable, all the more so I can determine them for myself or create even more comfortable ones, because. Some of the work can be done at home. The working day is not standardized, obligations and responsibilities are minimal. 6. What do you like most about your business? The absence of a solid framework, direct guidance, the opportunity to show their abilities and realize themselves. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? Seasonality in work: on holidays such as New Year, St. Valentine, March 8, February 23…. a lot of work, and sometimes a long absence of orders. I’m still not quite satisfied with the fact that I’m not officially employed for this job, and therefore I can’t receive social guarantees and other things .... 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (it's enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? Given that this job is not my main income, but rather a source of additional income, the level of remuneration suits me very much! 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? In fact, I work alone, only orders from the store where my creations are placed come from the manager, who makes the payment. As for the rest, I myself communicate with direct customers, so I have no colleagues. And it's great! 10. What human qualities, in your opinion, are most important in your business? Perseverance, attentiveness, the presence of imaginative thinking, a sense of taste and rhythm, painstaking .... 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (here everything that gives you work except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). I appreciate my workbut the fact that it gives me the opportunity to communicate truly with creative personalities, because an ordinary person will go and buy a stamped postcard in any store, even a grocery store. And only connoisseurs and connoisseurs, finely organized people, know that a card made with soul, completely handmade, is an ideal and unique gift for loved ones. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? Of course five. Even with a big plus. 13. Why did you choose this job? For me it was of the greatest interest. Opened the prospects for participation in exhibitions. And also I was attracted by the lack of large initial investments. 14. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? There are no comments or suggestions. Everything is quite complete and accessible. 0
