1. What is the name of your profession (position)? Officially, my specialty is called "Electrician for the repair and adjustment of relay protection and automation", but in reality I have to go beyond this profession. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? My job is to maintain power supply systems in a large metallurgical enterprise. These are adjustment, repair of relay protection and automation systems, these are high-voltage tests of electrical equipment (electric motors, oil and vacuum circuit breakers, busbars and protective equipment), this is the search for damage to electrical cables with voltages up to and above 1000V. I am also engaged in measuring the insulation resistance of various electrical equipment, calibrating circuit breakers, measuring the resistance of grounding devices. Our team is small, so we have to do a lot of chores. There is absolutely no time to be idle. 3. What education is required to get your position? I work according to the highest qualification category (which we have is the 6th). My education is higher technical, however, like many other employees. But this is not necessary, you can achieve professionalism with a secondary technical education. Plus, knowledge of computers and electronics is very necessary. 4. Describe your working day. My working day is from 7.00 to 16.00 from Monday to Thursday, and on Fridays from 7.00 to 15.00. Sometimes you have to stay after work and go out on weekends and holidays (fortunately, there are no problems with time off or paying extracurriculars). At 8.00, the scope of work becomes known, after which we proceed to implementation. Break - 45 minutes (11.00-11.45). We always work in pairs, sometimes 3-4 people, one of which is appointed by the work manager. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? This is when. In some cases, you can stay warm and clean all day without even putting on overalls, and sometimes you have to freeze all day in a workshop or at a substation. This state of affairs suits me (I don’t like monotony). After all, there must be romance and extreme. 6. What do you like most about your job? I like the diversity (there is no identical work, every day is not like the previous one), a small and friendly team, the absence of a large number of bosses over you (there are only two people in the whole enterprise to whom we obey). 7. What do you dislike most about your job? Regime and control (starting from the checkpoint). But this is production, otherwise it is impossible. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? If I may say so, not satisfied enough. In general, for our city the average. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? People work differently. There are practically no outsiders. Everyone has their own interests and hobbies, but we all find a common language, we live amicably. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business?
