1. What is the name of your profession (position)? My profession is a teacher-musician, majoring in piano. I work at a music school. Officially, the position is called piano teacher at a music school. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? I teach children aged 5 to 15 how to play the piano. 3. What education is required to get your position? To work at a school, it is enough to finish 9 classes of a general education school, and then a music school. Then you can improve at the institute and graduate school, but free places for training can be counted on the fingers, and paid departments cost so much that in the next five years, you will only work out your education. 4. Describe your working day. The process of work itself triples me. You can regulate your load yourself. I can work both two days a week and six days. Lessons are private, 45 minutes. Of course, children are different, and sometimes after one lesson with some of them you get tired as if you had been plowing all day. Talented students are rare, and those who will still be patiently engaged are generally countless. I usually start working in the afternoon, around one in the afternoon. I work with three students, then a break, and then four more students. I'm free at eight o'clock. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? I have my own class, which is very convenient, as you can calmly drink tea and relax between lessons. 6. What do you like most about your job? Communication with children. Each of them is an individual, although sometimes with a difficult character. The main thing is to find a common language, then the learning process will be a joy. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? The low system of remuneration and the complete lack of interest of the state in the full-fledged musical education of children. When the elderly contingent of teachers completely disappears, there will be no one to work, since young people are very reluctant to go to work in schools. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? Teacher salaries can vary greatly. The amount depends on the profession, experience and of course on how many days a week the teacher works. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? Career growth is almost impossible, due to the team, although friendly, but consisting of almost only grandmothers. Of course, they will help with advice and prompt, but growing up to the head teacher, in the next twenty years, will definitely not work. 10. What human qualities, in your opinion, are most important in your business? Not everyone is given to work every day with children, since love for children is given by nature. Raising this feeling is almost impossible. If you work and do not enjoy this profession, you can become depressed. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (here everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interestingpeople to the opportunity to visit different countries). Trips to competitions and festivals, especially abroad, are possible only if such a diamond as a talented and able-bodied kid gets into your class, and then you still have to have enough patience and skill to train and educate him. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? Four. 13. Why did you choose this job? Being a teacher in the third generation, I basically imagined what kind of work I would agree to. The salary, of course, is not high, but the holidays are big, and the most important thing is to do what you love. 14. What are the opportunities for your career development? Virtually no opportunities in the coming decades. 15. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? It would be possible to include a clause about the desire to change a profession if someone is dissatisfied with it. So I would change my profession, only if the salaries really would not be enough to live on.
