What education is required to get your position? Mine is higher special. To obtain an elementary geodetic education, it is enough to graduate from a technical school or college. 4. Describe your working day. My working days are of two kinds. These are field works - departure to the object of shooting, fulfillment of the technical task directly, return back. And we work full daylight hours, because. the pay is piecework, the work is seasonal - although in winter it also happens in the wind under the lanterns. And cameral work - processing the results of field work in the office. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? Field work - all or part of the day in the open air, a lot of wind, a toilet under a bush, broken shoes, lunch in a dry bag or from a thermos. Work in the office - and coffee, and a cake from a nearby pastry shop, all the benefits of civilization. 6. What do you like most about your job? The work is very interesting, never repeated, I just like it. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? Customers, or rather their ideas about the result. Given that the industry is specific, the customer cannot always clearly explain what he needs, and therefore the delivery of work is an action. But over time, these are eliminated, and it becomes easier to work. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? They do not go to field work for a minimum wage. Accordingly, wages are high and allow you to look with humor at the inevitable features of the profession. 9. The weak are eliminated, strong professionals remain, a well-coordinated geodetic team usually remains this way until retirement, the “team”. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? Good health, perseverance and discipline, a sense of comradeship, the ability to work in a team, to be part of it. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries).
