Plasterer-painter is a creative profession! | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? My specialty is a paint finisher. In the people, this profession is simply called - plasterer-painter. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? The essence of my work is the interior decoration of residential and non-residential premises. This includes leveling walls, ceilings, door and window slopes, as well as gluing various types of wallpaper on walls and ceilings. And, of course, no repair is complete without painting. I paint mainly plastered and leveled surfaces - walls and ceilings, however, it is currently very popular to use wallpaper for painting - white wallpaper for painting is glued onto the prepared surface and then painted in the desired color. I am also engaged in gluing photo wallpapers and designing design structures (mainly from plasterboard: for example, decorative cabinets, niches or ceiling lamps in the form of a flying saucer) - for particularly sophisticated customers. 3. What education is required to get your position? In my work, of course, it is desirable to have a civil engineering education, but in general, customers do not look at it. The main criterion here is the accuracy of the work performed, as well as its timeliness and ability to meet the interests of the customer. 4. Describe your working day. The most important plus in my work is the floating schedule. That is, I can safely come to work by 11 o'clock in the morning and rest on weekends. The main thing is that the work is done well and on time. If a large interesting order appears, I can work for 12 or more hours a day without days off and do not feel tired at all. The biggest reward for my righteous labors is the satisfaction from the work done and, of course, the salary - and where without it? The main thing is that the order should be in an elite house, where it is required not only to re-paste the wallpaper, but also to do something creative and interesting. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? As for working conditions, this is a rather controversial issue. Since I work at many sites, and the work is related to construction waste, of course, I would like the site to have a shower room. However, this, of course, is from the realm of fantasy. As for the real working conditions, they are quite acceptable - heated rooms, the presence of sewerage - which is simply necessary in my business, a room for changing into work clothes. And, of course, teapots and mugs - war is war, and lunch is on schedule! 6. What do you like most about your job? The great thing about my job is the ability to make something beautiful with my own hands. You enter a dull, old room, and you leave a beautiful, comfortable apartment (room, office). I did all this, people are happy. I also like the opportunity to constantly learn something and meet different people and make very useful acquaintances. And of course, wages, as well as various bonuses and gifts from customers for successfully completed work. 7. What do you care aboutWhat do you dislike most about your job? Very often capricious customers come across, which must be handled very, very carefully. I also don’t like the 50% of the transaction taken by the company - if you work for the company. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? I would say yes, because the salary is not fixed and depends on the work done. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? I work with completely different people, different nationalities and levels of education. There are even people with higher education, but who do not work by profession. For example, I am a linguist-translator by profession, and I work in construction. There are other examples as well. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? First of all, it is accuracy, diligence and tact in dealing with the customer. The ability to mobilize. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). My profession allows me to express myself creatively, make interesting acquaintances and useful connections, and always keep abreast of all the new trends in interior design. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? I could put a solid five, but I am self-critical and constantly developing. Live a century - learn a century, the main slogan of my business. 13. Why did you choose this job? The work is very interesting, creative and gives a lot of opportunities. Also very attractive is the unstable work schedule and the opportunity to work for yourself, and not for the boss. 14. What are the opportunities for your career development? Here everything depends only on me. Having gained a certain number of regular customers, you can open your own business. 15. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? We can say that the plan fully reflects the main characteristics of the profession. And I think everyone who loves his job has something to share. And you can talk about it for hours! On my own behalf, I would also like to add that construction and decoration is not only dirt, garbage and people of Caucasian nationality, it is also an opportunity to realize one's creative potential. 0
