My specialty is sharp and relevant, although it sounds a little blurry to many. I am an ecologist, or rather, an engineer for the protection of the natural environment. The range of my job responsibilities, to put it in a dry scientific language, includes the development of permissive documentation for various enterprises and institutions whose activities are related to the impact on the environment. Simply put, I prepare packages of documents on the basis of which enterprises receive permits for air emissions, wastewater discharges and waste disposal. In order to become a full-fledged environmental specialist, there is little generally accepted knowledge, therefore, in our company, all employees have higher education. Working conditions are pretty good. Of course, the office is not a five-star hotel, but our place is cozy and comfortable, largely due to the friendly atmosphere in the team. The work is mostly paper-based, although before starting work we always go to the sites to conduct a visual inspection and identify sources of influence on our mother nature. I am satisfied with my work, because I always wanted to find my calling in this area. The only negative point is communication with representatives of customers who, unfortunately, are not always interested in fruitful and promising work, and sometimes do not make contact at all after signing contracts. The salary, of course, does not go off scale on the Richter scale, but enough to live on. Approximately I get about 400 USD. per month. Someone may say that this kind of money is a joke, but in our family I get the most. Our working team is simply wonderful, if there are any controversial issues or issues related to work, as well as simple, universal problems, I can always count on my environmental friends. The director is real gold, I'm not exaggerating a single gram! Kind, compassionate, human... Before that, I worked in the city executive committee as a secretary in the land management department, so I have something to compare with. The working day in the executive committee began with the mats of the boss, but here everything is different, employees are always given time for a technological break, I have not heard about screams and quarrels within the team for 1.5 years. If we talk about the human qualities necessary in our work, I can safely say that in our environmental sphere the main thing is curiosity and quick reaction. Legislation and requirements of higher authorities change almost every day, so conservatives in our profession have no place, as well as lazy people. In addition to my career progression as an environmental engineer, I receive a lot of privileges and rewards. One of the advantages is the use of free corporate Internet for both business and personal purposes. Another additional opportunity is to take advanced training courses at the expense of the company. Separately, it should be said about the general expansion of horizons during business trips, because the range of our activitiestality covers several regions of our country. So, if I were a teacher and had the opportunity to manage school points, I would give my work the highest mark on a five-point system!
