Assistant lawyer, lawyer, law, law | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? Assistant lawyer. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? In general terms, my job is to carry out individual assignments of a lawyer, which are very diverse. This is the preparation of documents for the trial, and the implementation of business correspondence, and the generalization of law enforcement practice, the systematization of regulatory material. I also receive visitors and advise them on simple legal issues, draw up the necessary procedural documents: lawsuits, claims, complaints. 3. What education is required to get your position? Assistants to a lawyer can be persons with higher or incomplete higher or secondary education, but it must be legal. This is directly stated in the Law on Advocacy. 4. Describe your working day. The working day begins with a visit to the post office. There will always be letters to be sent or received. In general, a lawyer's assistant has a working day scheduled literally by the hour, but, as a rule, new and different assignments of a lawyer are carried out daily. Therefore, it is very difficult to single out the same type of workday schedule. Today, for example, after sending the mail, I went to the court of general jurisdiction to get acquainted with the materials of the civil case. After that, until lunch, I was in the office, preparing claims and lawsuits for clients in defense of their violated rights. Lunch usually takes only half an hour. Then I had to go to the Tax Inspectorate of the district and submit documents for the liquidation of the company. The saddest thing, I think, where a lot of time is wasted is when you stand in line. You can do so many useful things, but you can’t leave without submitting documents for registration. In the evening, clients usually come for consultations. If my lawyer is busy, then I conduct the appointment myself. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? The position of an assistant is very ambiguous, since it all depends on the cases that you have been assigned. You can spend the whole day in the office, working with the legal reference system, studying the laws and looking for sources of regulation of certain civil law relations, or you can travel all over the city all day, visiting various organizations and instances. Day to day is not the same, but this does not make my work uncomfortable. Movement is life. 6. What do you like most about your job? Most of all in my work I like to advise visitors, give them legal advice on what they need to do in a given situation. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? Like everyone else, there are rush jobs at work, when deadlines are running out, then you have to stay at work longer, until late. The work is very responsible in the sense that it is impossible to transfer the things that need to be done today. And there are unplanned assignments, which subsequently disrupt my entire working day. 8. If notsecret, your salary level (is it enough to write satisfied or not)? The salary level suits completely. In my opinion, she is worthy of my knowledge and skills. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? And our team is small: three lawyers, and each lawyer has his own assistant. Each assistant deals exclusively with the affairs of his lawyer. It is very rare that we are all in the office at the same time, but we organize cooperatives on holidays. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? Responsibility, diligence and accuracy are highly valued in our work. Any mistake can lead to irreparable consequences. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). First, knowledge. It is impossible to know all the laws. But, applying them in practice, they are easily absorbed. Secondly, the comprehensive development of the individual. Any legal profession allows you to gain knowledge from various areas: consumer protection, construction, trade.. Thirdly, the prospect, because in the future I can become a lawyer. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? No doubt five! 13. Why did you choose this job? I chose it because the work of a lawyer and his assistant helps people to protect their rights. Today, every citizen needs to know their rights and be able to protect them. And also because it is a very interesting and varied work. I can't even imagine myself in any other profession. 14. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us What has my profession taught me? She taught me to understand people, to find a common language with them, to be more responsible and disciplined in work and in life, to show initiative and perseverance in solving certain issues and in achieving goals. 0
