Profession handyman at a construction site | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? My profession is called a handyman, but in the work book I am recorded as a concrete worker of the third category. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? In fact, I can do so many kinds of work. For example, one day I clean up construction debris, the next day I work as a grinder, break walls with a sledgehammer, and you may also need my help in working with a jackhammer. But most of all I am happy when I only have to bring bricks to the masons. In this case, you can communicate, and you don’t need to strain much. 3. What education is required to get your position? You can get my position with absolutely no education. And all because the work is mainly associated with physical labor, and this work does not require any professional skills. Any person, having come to the construction site, can easily get comfortable and understand what he needs to do in just one or two days. Already as you work, you can get some useful skills that will help you to advance in the future. 4. Describe your working day. The first thing to do when you get to work is to go and change. We usually change clothes in the trailer (there are hangers, a table, chairs). Having changed, I go up to the foreman and ask what work I should do today. After listening to the instructions of the boss, I go directly to the workplace. There I already begin to do the necessary work, and I work until lunch, which begins at 12 noon. Slowly having lunch, you can lie down for about half an hour. At one o'clock I have to go to work again. Officially, the working day ends at 17.00, but in fact, everyone stops working at 16.00-16.30. And in the end, at 16.45 I was already dressed and went home. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? I would not call the working conditions at my workplace very comfortable, but there is no need to complain. Yes, I often have to breathe dust and many other fumes, but I did not notice that after that my health somehow worsened. 6. What do you like most about your job? What I like about my work is that, with almost no education, anyone can start earning decent money. In fact, most of the work is “give-bring”, and personally I don’t see anything difficult in this. It's nice to know that you're helping someone in some way. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? I don’t like the fact that I often have to work in dusty, gassed rooms. Usually in such conditions they work with a respirator, but it is not always at hand, and you have to breathe this dirty air. It is very difficult to work in the cold, or, conversely, in too hot weather. I also don't really like the fact that sometimes the foreman asks to do very hard work, but does not offer any increase in salary. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? My salary suits me. I get around 10000 rubles per month. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? My team is good and fun. I work with masons, electricians, painters. It may seem to a new person that all workers swear too much, but after working for about a month, you get used to it and see nothing wrong with it. I was also lucky that I got a good boss who treats employees with respect and understanding. If you do everything right, then no one will say a bad word about you. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? Hard work and honesty are very important. You have to work hard, but there is no time to rest. Yes, you can lie down all day and do nothing, but sooner or later someone will notice this, and then you can be left without a salary or even be fired. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). At work, I learn a lot. Watching someone do their job, I gradually adopt their skills, and I can already do a lot of things that I could not do before. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? To be honest, I would rate my work at 4 points. 13. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? The plan is very well put together and I don't know what else to add here. 0
