1. What is the name of your profession (position)? I am a diabetes registry operator. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? For each patient with diabetes, the attending physician creates a card that contains the patient's personal data, type of diabetes, drugs to compensate for diabetes, complications, tests, etc. My duty is to enter these data into the database, using a program specially designed for this purpose, called the Diabetes Register. Also periodically send reports, that's all my duties. 3. What education is required to get your position? No special education is required for this job. Computer experience required. In general, any sane person is able to deal with the program, especially if there is a detailed instruction. 4. Describe your working day. Officially, I work at 0.5 rates, from 8-00 to 15-00. But in reality, things are a little different. Our republic is small, there are 1,500 patients in the database. There are not very many newly identified patients, so little needs to be added to the database. Once I edited all one and a half thousand patients in 3 days, and then did almost nothing for 3 months. I forgot the most important thing, I work at home, since the main thing for this work is the presence of a computer, and I just have it at home. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? My conditions, as you know, are very comfortable! I'm home! 6. The work is boring, especially if you are not very versed in medical terms, but given that there is not much work, then this is a tolerable disadvantage. 8. I think perseverance. Another ability or desire to understand the instructions yourself, because, for example, no one taught me how to work with the program. And those who worked before me made a lot of mistakes, filling the database as they please (without understanding the instructions). 1 1.
