Miner is the most dangerous profession in the world. | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? Probably, many have heard about my profession, but not many understand what it is, I will try to shed light on some aspects of my work! I am a miner - GROZ (miner of a stope). 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? My work is directly in the extraction of minerals. Mining is carried out mechanically with the help of mining combines, and my duties include cleaning up the heaped rock mass in the face, moving sections of mechanized supports following the advancement of the face, as the seam is mined, fastening the interface of the lava with the drift and performing end operations during seam mining. 3. What education is required to get your position? In general, I have a higher education, but for work I need a GROZ category, which can be obtained by completing training in specialized course complexes. 4. Describe your working day. Shift work, 4 shifts. I spend 6 working hours in the mine, although the total time for arriving at the mine, getting a dress, taking a shower after a shift and changing clothes increases to 10 hours. The work order is given by the head of the section or his deputy. After all the instructions, you need to change clothes, go in as needed and take what you need from the warehouse (for example, engine oil for combine gearboxes). After that, you need to proceed to the cage (a kind of elevator) that lowers to the desired horizon (let's say 480m.). It is to the workplace through the network of mine workings that an electric locomotive delivers me and other employees, with wagons equipped for people. The distance is usually about 5-8 km, or even more. After arriving at the place, the labor regime begins until the end of the shift. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? The conditions are very uncomfortable as the work takes place in a cramped space (for clarity imagine a tunnel 0.8 m high and 1.2 m long). A respirator is put on the face, through which it is difficult to breathe, but without it there is no way, because the dust content is too big that nothing can be seen at arm's length. At the same time, you still need to work. Add to everything the noise of working mechanisms, vibration and humidity. If the lava is flooded, then add 30% water to 80 cm of space, like in horror films, right! 6. What do you like most about your job? A positive point is the presence of two holidays per year for 24 days. Plus vouchers for a resort vacation, and a full social package. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? Of course, they don't like the working conditions. In addition, the work is very inconvenient and difficult. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? The level of salary is low for such work, because in comparison with the prices in the market for goods and utilities, this is unacceptable. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? The team is very friendly and fun. Hard workers work here, and real peoplemen. They also manage to joke so that at least write it down, comedians are resting. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? In this profession, first of all, perseverance and intelligence are needed! After all, every day there are non-standard situations that require the manifestation of ingenuity. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). At this job, you can get the necessary experience of practicality, which will be useful in other areas of activity. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? I rate my position at 3, because no one wants such working conditions. 13. Why did you choose this job? As they say, you do not choose a profession, but she chooses you! 14. What are the opportunities for your career development? Since I graduated from a university and have a diploma, I will be promoted to an engineer (engineering and technical worker). This is a leadership position with great responsibility for people's lives, but does not include hard work. 15. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? I think the plan was drawn up correctly, as it was possible to tell almost everything. 0
