Profession copywriter | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? My profession is a copywriter. As accurately noted on one of the sites dedicated to this kind of occupation, there are much fewer people who understand what copywriting means than those who try to do it. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? Although the classical understanding of the term “copywriting” involves writing, first of all, advertising texts in order to promote an idea, project, product, service to the masses, I write texts on a wide variety of topics from small rewrites to full-fledged detailed articles. More specifically, my job is to search the Internet for orders for writing texts and their implementation, which involves the analysis and processing of various materials from the World Wide Web, encyclopedias, magazines, dictionaries, multiplied by my own awareness and erudition. 3. What education is required to get your position? Customers are rarely interested in your education, since all the abilities and skills to work in this area appear after the first completed text. A broad outlook and command of the style are the main requirements for the profession of a copywriter. For this, of course, knowledge of the language (preferably more than one - to search for information in sources in foreign languages) and literature will not interfere. 4. Describe your working day. My working day can start at any time of the day, as well as end. For this, my desire to earn some money and the corresponding creative mood are enough. This is a really irregular work day. Since I work at my home at the computer desk, then all the amenities are at hand, from eating to sleeping. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? Being a guest is good, but being at home is better. In the same way, the office is good, but the house is better. The only drawback is that the family can distract you at any moment, which they do with stubborn constancy. For more fruitful work, you need at least a personal account, and even better - a separate apartment, but I don’t have such opportunities yet. 6. What do you like most about your job? I have loved to write various essays since school, so I really like the profession of a copywriter. In addition, you are your own boss: if you want to work, if you want - no. It all depends on your ability to work and desire to earn. But the biggest plus, in my opinion, is the constant improvement of your knowledge, vocabulary, broadening your horizons, because often you have to work with texts on a topic in which you never understood anything or understood, but very little. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? Probably, the disadvantage of my profession is that it is far from always possible to find worthy orders on topics of interest to you. For example, as a person with a humanitarian mindset, I prefer to write texts on historical, literary, legal topics, but I often write something about repairs, weapons, refrigeration units and crankshaft. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? The level of salary, again, depends only on me and the time I spent at the computer. In fact, I provide all my minimum life requirements. Although the prospect in this matter, no doubt, is. Earnings increase in proportion to the experience gained. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? Here I am, my team. I look in the mirror and am overjoyed at how lucky I am with the team. A pure triumph of eternal human selfishness. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? It seems to me that for my business, in addition to purely professional qualities, ability to work is required. In addition, courtesy, tolerance and tact, which help in communication, albeit virtual, with customers. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). As I wrote above, the work gives me, first of all, the opportunity to deepen my knowledge in many different areas. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? 4 minus. With experience and a corresponding increase in income, she should reach a solid four. 13. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? It seems to me that a point is possible about what I had to sacrifice in my life for the sake of my profession. For example, the routine work in the office does not allow someone to reveal the potential of a jazz guitarist, or someone dreamed of becoming a football player, but simply does not have time to train. After all, we all have some secret talents and dreams that are not always revealed and come true. In my case, the profession of a copywriter is exactly the occupation that does not interfere with revealing myself in other areas of activity, which is the most convenient for me at this moment in my life. 0
