Medical college teacher is my profession | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? My profession is a teacher of the basics of nursing. I teach my discipline to first year students. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? I conduct practical classes, give lectures, but the most interesting thing is that after passing the theoretical course, we enter clinical practice. My clinical base is located in a hospice - a medical institution that provides care to cancer patients. My students take care of patients and, under the guidance of a teacher and nurses, learn to provide qualified medical care. 3. What education is required to get your position? To become a teacher, you need to get a higher profile education (in my case, medical). 4. Describe your working day. My standard working day depends on the teaching load, but basically it is six academic hours (in college or in a medical institution) plus independent scientific activity (which usually continues at home). 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? The working conditions are quite comfortable: if we are in a college, then we have at our disposal spacious classrooms, simulators for practicing manipulations and other equipment, if we are in a medical institution, then we work in the wards next to the patients, which carries some emotional burden. 6. What do you like most about your job? I like working with young people, they have a fresh outlook on life, an open heart. I have the opportunity to teach them certain skills that will become their profession in the future. But this in turn is very responsible. In addition, we have the opportunity to help sick people. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? By and large, this work is good, the only drawback, as in most budgetary organizations, is the salary. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? As mentioned above - not satisfied. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? Our team is another advantage of our work. We have a very close-knit team, as they say, a good corporate culture. True, mostly female. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? The ability to empathize, patience, the desire to understand people and help them. This, by the way, should be taught to students. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). Of course, this is self-expression, the possibility of self-learning, constant communication with people. We constantly participate in conferences, publish in targeted journals - this contributes to the constant development of the individual. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? Konechbut five! 13. Why did you choose this job? I'm interested in her. 14. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? It is very nice when your students do their job well, when they become really professionals. It's nice when a student remembers his teacher. But, God forbid, the opposite is true ... 0
