Teacher-teacher at the Waldorf School. | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? My profession is a teacher-teacher at the Waldorf School. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? In our school, the specifics of teaching is such that I am not a primary school teacher, not a subject teacher. My task is to recruit first-graders and lead them through all, now 12 years of study in the interesting and fascinating world of Waldorf pedagogy. The peculiarity of Waldorf pedagogy lies in the fact that it has an attempt to go beyond any usual theoretical ideas and concepts, training is based on the personal characteristics of the child and his development. I teach a child not to think in traditional clichés and patterns, but to approach any problem creatively. At birth, the world appears before a small person in all its diversity. And I teach children how to perceive this world. I teach children Russian, Ukrainian, mathematics, drawing, biology, natural history, history, I teach them to play the flute, craftsmanship and much more. In the summer, we go out with the guys to nature, arrange hiking in the mountains of Crimea and along the rivers of our country in kayaks, where we continue our studies in close proximity to nature, studying botany, mineralogy, geography and astronomy. 3. What education is required to get your position? For my work, in addition to the usual higher pedagogical education, a special Waldorf-Steiner education is required, which can be obtained in 2 years at special courses. 4. Describe your working day. Our every day with the guys begins with playing the flute. This helps the child focus on the learning process, and also improves brain function due to oxygen enrichment. After that, the main lesson begins, where we study the main discipline of the era - we study in eras that last about a month, for example, the era of mathematics or the era of the Russian language. Then we have various developing disciplines - eurythmy, painting, modeling, craftsmanship and others. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? My working day is spent in the school office. 6. What do you like most about your job? I really like to work and just communicate with the guys. I like to teach them something new every day, to acquaint them with the world around them. I try to help the child to show their abilities, develop talent, find a job to their liking and, ultimately, their place in life. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? Sometimes paperwork is a little depressing - writing curricula and reports. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? I am quite satisfied with my salary. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? We have a wonderful friendly teaching staff. These are creative people, obsessed with their profession and very fond of children. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in yourm case? Patience is the most important quality in my work. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). I love tourism very much. And thanks to my work, every year I go hiking with the guys. Thanks to our school, I also learned to weave from a wicker, make ceramics, make toys from wood and fabric, and much more. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? Five points. 13. Why did you choose this job? Since childhood, I loved children and dreamed of being a teacher. 14. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? My profession does not allow me to stand still, I constantly learn something new and improve myself. And that's what I really like about her. 0
