My profession is an insurance specialist | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? Insurance specialist. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? The essence of the work is the search for new customers and the conclusion of property, health or third party liability insurance contracts with them. It is also work with regular customers of our insurance company. There is an insurance plan that needs to be completed every month. Better yet, overdo it. 3. What education is required to get your position? All my colleagues have higher education with a different focus, since until recently insurance agents were not specially trained in universities. I have a higher technical education. 4. Describe your working day. Our office is open from 9:00 to 17:00, but I'm not there all day. A significant part of the time is taken by trips to enterprises and private firms, as well as other organizations, meetings with managers and teams of enterprises in order to familiarize them with the types of insurance and services of our insurance company and subsequently sign insurance contracts. In the office, I spend several hours a day, sometimes all day if the need arises. There, at my desk, I draw up payment receipts for which clients pay for insurance services, write out insurance policies, work on the phone: I call new customers and answer calls from regular customers. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? If I am in the office, then these are excellent working conditions: a spacious bright office in which 6 people sit, comfortable furniture, modern office equipment, windows with flowers overlooking the main street. In the next office there is a small comfortable lockable room with a dining table and an electric kettle. There we can have lunch and celebrate pleasant events in our life and professional sphere with tea and cake. When you have to go out to meet with clients, it all depends on the weather. In good warm weather, the mood improves and strength is added, and there is always the opportunity to drop into the store if necessary. In bad weather, walking is worse, but you can always go back to the office and warm up. 6. What do you like most about your job? Free schedule, constant new acquaintances, the emergence of useful connections, the possibility of good earnings, since it depends on me what salary I will receive. It makes sense to work better to get more. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? Tight deadlines for the implementation of a rather large plan, lack of stability: this month there may be a threefold overfulfillment of the plan, and the next one - a very weak result. It all depends on the mood and financial condition of customers. There is a lot of competition among insurance companies that open almost every day. 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? The rate is small, I win only at the expense of interest, but to get them, you need a good postfight. But in general, I am satisfied with the earnings, although there is never a lot of money. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? Our department has 10 people, of which only one is a man. So the team is mostly female. There are also young girls and women with extensive professional experience. There are 5 insurance agents among us, and this creates a competitive spirit and healthy competition. But we live together and try to help and replace each other, if necessary. 10. What human qualities, in your opinion, are most important in your business? Sociability, punctuality, responsibility, professionalism, well-spoken language and the ability to find the right words at the right time. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (here is everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). This is a new experience of communication and establishing contacts, an experience in a new direction for me. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? I would put "5" because I am satisfied with my work. 13. Why did you choose this job? I was looking for an opportunity to earn money. I was offered this job by a friend, and I was interested. Now I am glad that I work as an insurance agent. 14. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? There is one negative point: this work is largely influenced by the economic situation in the country and in the world, which negatively affects the implementation of the plan and causes lack of stability. And the rest - everything is fine! 0
