Beauty salon manager is my profession | Choice of profession. how to choose the right profession

1. What is the name of your profession (position)? The position sounds like this: manager of a beauty salon. 2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities? My key responsibilities include all administrative and economic activities, the purchase and control of the consumption of chemical and cosmetic products, interaction with the state. structures (Rospotrebnadzor (SES), environmentalists, firefighters, medical insurance, pension fund, etc.). It also supports the corporate culture of the salon, the development and introduction of new ways to motivate employees, the distribution of bonuses based on the results of the working month. In conflict situations with clients, my personal intervention is also necessary. 3. What education is required to get your position? I have a higher education, but I think that secondary education is quite enough, especially if it is a specialized secondary in the field of hairdressing or cosmetology. 4. Describe your working day. My working day usually starts a little later than for ordinary employees, but sometimes I arrive at the beginning of the working day of the salon in order to check the punctuality of the masters. First, I always make a walk around the premises: everything should be clean, tidy, lie in its place, in general, so as to please the client's eye. Then I look at the report for the past and current day in a special computer program, look at the complaint books and the box of customer questionnaires that the administrator is required to offer to each visitor after he has been served. Further, if necessary, I review the current shift schedule of employees, eliminate gaps in case of illness or leave of the foreman. Every month or after days of particularly intense work (New Year, March 8, Easter, etc.) I hold a staff meeting where I outline future goals and discuss the achievements and failures of the salon at the time of this period. If necessary, I personally meet with suppliers, discuss novelties in the field of cosmetic products, conclude an agreement for seminars or master classes as a way to improve the skills of my masters. 5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)? I consider my working conditions as comfortable as possible: a beautiful, warm room, the opportunity to drink a cup of coffee or dine in the masters' rest room, there is an opportunity (even most likely a pleasant duty) to look beautiful every day. 6. What do you like most about your job? The possibility of manifestation of their creative ambitions, since to a greater extent the success of the enterprise depends on its competent management. In addition, I cannot but rejoice at the smiling faces of satisfied customers, their verbal or even non-verbal gratitude. 7. What do you dislike most about your job? If we talk about the shortcomings, then this is, perhaps, constant mental tension in view of vigilant control of the situation. For the same reason, the situation with a vacation always becomes very painful for me (lying on the sea coast and I can’t completely turn offget out of business). 8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)? I think that for women's labor this is quite a decent income. But if we discard the gender of the profession, and judge only by labor costs, then I believe that my activity could be paid a little more. 9. Describe your team, what kind of people work with you? I have a wonderful team! Young and energetic. I work with women from 20 to 29 years old. 10. What human qualities do you think are most important in your business? Creative ambition, creativity, purposefulness and self-organization. 11. Work gives me additional opportunities (everything that work gives you except money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries). Basically, the work gives me the opportunity to express myself, to actually track my abilities, to see the results, since I always take the progress or regression of the work of the salon at my own expense. 12. Do you have the opportunity to evaluate your work on a five-point scale, what grade would you give? 4+ There is something to strive for.)) 13. Why did you choose this job? Because I always wanted to work in a "beautiful business." 14. What do you think we did not include in the plan and what else would you like to share with us? Perhaps this is: “what maximum results would you like to achieve in your profession?” 0
